How To Create Discounts & Coupons With Digistore

With Digistore Business Manager, whether you have a micro, small, online, home, or on-call business, you can send invoices to your customers and customers can make secure payments in just 1-click using their mobile money accounts and other payment methods in minutes. Your customers are not required to have the app installed to pay or to buy from you. This convenience extends to setting up special promotions, such as discounts and coupon codes, which can help boost your sales and reward loyal customers.

Creating discounts and coupons on the Digistore mobile app is simple. After you launch the app and land on your homepage, you’ll notice you have two ways to access the Discounts & Coupons section. The first is by tapping the “More” button to find and select “Discounts & Coupons.” Alternatively, you can tap the Profile icon, go to your Settings, and look for the Discount & Coupon option.

Once inside, you can choose either “Discounts” (which apply automatically) or “Coupons” (which require customers to enter a code). When you create a discount, you simply select “Create Discount,” decide whether it’s a percentage or fixed amount, and then fill in details such as the discount value, minimum purchase requirements (like a minimum total spend or quantity of items), and how many times the discount can be used. You can also choose which products or delivery routes the discount applies to, along with whether it’s intended for first-time, second-time, or even fifth-time customers. Finally, set your date range and pick which of your business outlets the offer should be valid for—then save to activate the discount.

If you’d rather have customers manually enter a discount code at checkout, simply switch to the “Coupons” section, tap “Create Coupon,” and follow a similar process. Give your coupon a unique name, choose the discount type and amount, define its usage limits, and then decide if it applies to all products or select ones. As with discounts, you can also determine whether the coupon is valid for certain customer purchase milestones or specific delivery routes, and set the start and end dates. Once saved, your new coupon code will be ready to share across your marketing channels so customers can enter it at checkout.

Set Your Details

  • Discount Value: The exact amount off (percentage or fixed).
  • Minimum Requirements: Same options as discounts—none, minimum amount, or minimum quantity.
  • Usage Limits: Choose how many times this coupon can be used before it expires.
  • Applicable Products or Routes: All products, specific items, first purchase, delivery routes, etc.
  • Date Range & Outlets: Pick the valid date range and which business outlets are eligible.
